Rare 15th century Italian sword. (circa 1450) This old sword was used in the time of the Crusaders. It has an engraving of a lion wearing a crown, and caring a staff and banner, topped with a crusader cross. I have owned this since 1973. Back then it was authenticated by the Met in NY and valued at $2000.00
The condition is most excellent, worthy of the finest collections. It is double-edged with two blood grooves on each side. The grooves are engraved throughout the full length of the sword . The steel is in wonderful condition. I guarantee my description to be accurate or I will cheerfully refund the purchase price. The last two pictures are of my collection and not part of this sale.
